Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal™ is a non-invasive organic process that draws upon the ancient Chinese wisdom related to longevity, beauty and balance.

Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal is a natural and effective alternative to help renew the whole you. It is a constitutional treatment because we work with the whole body, to correct internal imbalances that may cause dryness, facial lines, drooping or sagging tendencies.

Working on the face, thin needles are placed at a variety of acupuncture points in the area (s) of concern like the neck, eyes and mouth thus stimulating the body’s own vital energy known as Qi, and the production of collagen and elastin. As we also work with muscle groups, the face can gradually “lift” itself through the muscles’ toning and tightening action. The insertion of needles also stimulates a healthy flow of Qi and blood, which improves overall facial color and texture and results in beautiful skin.
Other components of Oriental Medicine like herbal and nutritional therapy, restorative physical exercises like Tai Ji and Qi Gong and remedial massage (Tui-Na) and acupressure are important in rebalancing and renewing your whole body, face, mind and spirit.

Other tools like tuning forks, micro current, jade rollers and facial exercises are used based on individual needs.

Skin Foods are based on Chinese herbal medicine. We use herbal poultices, masks, moisturizing creams and essential oils.

Contraindications
We never perform Facial Acupuncture during pregnancy, colds or flu, acute herpes outbreaks or acute allergic reactions. Facial Acupuncture is contraindicated in conditions like hemophilia or anticoagulant therapy, and diabetes. Caution is advised with Graves Disease, Cushing’s syndrome, and Addison’s disease.

In conditions like severe migraines and uncontrolled hypertension, we treat that condition first.

Sessions are usually 90 minutes long. The first session is a paid consultation and treatment to help you decide if facial acupuncture is for you, and it is two and a half hours long. A series of weekly sessions is usually recommended to be followed if desired by maintenance or booster treatments.

Please note that Facial acupuncture is a gradual organic process not an overnight fix. It is not considered a “face lift” nor is it in any way analogous to a surgical “face lift”.

After the first session the patient feels very relaxed and rested. The skin looks more toned, the facial color is more even, has a healthy glow and lines may start to lessen.

More significant changes in appearance can be observed after the 5th or 7th sessions.
Facial Acupuncture cannot arrest the normal process of aging related to overall health, lifestyle, pollution and sun exposure, therefore future maintenance treatments may be necessary to maintain the results of Facial acupuncture treatments.
